Using chameleon 2.2r2171 from

If I boot from a USB attached external drive it works 100% - if I 
boot from the exact same copy of OSX (cloned using carbon copy) 
installed on an internal SSD it crashes and reboots almost (but not 
quite) straight away.

I'm willing to gather any debug info required but I don't know where 
to start - can someone give me some pointers?
