Issue 342: Chameleon is having issues booting x86 after 2175

Reported by Leon Bollerup, Jun 15, 2013

I discussed with Merklort that we need a x86 fix.

If you have a look at line 88 in

Memory serves me as a bitch and i can't remember what the fix is but
Merklort knows - this is just a friendly reminder :)

Attached is a patched version by Alex @ Osxlatitude - we have tested
and it works perfect on both x64 and x86.. can somebody please
verify it and commit if it looks good ?

Hi ErmaC.... when can we see the updates in trunk? i see it's added
in your Enoch 2248. but not main trunk. the reason i know it's added
is i have an affected machines and it boots properly with
merklort/alex/my file and your file. since i could not find sources
to enoch.

Hi M S
The reason why you see on Enoch 2248 is because
this version (Testing VERSION) still under test
I made a 2248 revision for test purpose, as you can see from the
topic where you have find it.

Until now I receive positive feedback
so… coming soon

thank you ErmaC. alot of i386 users can now benefit from the new
chameleon versions. without the efinvram kernel panic at boot.

If you need credits, then "Alex Burma" and
"Bronxteck" .. or simply will do.. i have
a feeling our team will be supporting Chameleon quite alot more in
the future :)
