Under the latest revision 2256 MacMan removed all closed source modules. This is understandable however one of those modules was FileNVRAM.dylib which loads is NVRAM settings. This is a required module in order to get iMessages and other Apple authentication services to work on OS X. Even more prevalently in Mavericks.

MacMan did report the Chimera issue to the developers of the FileNVRAM.dylib module and a couple of options were presented. You can read more at http://public.xzenue.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=11 The simplest solution for you will be to use the official Chameleon trunk.
