Issue 40: X58 RAM Speed Detection Wrong

Reported by MacMan, Sep 26, 2010

The latest trunk build r517 does not correctly identify the RAM
speed on my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Core i7-930. No matter what I set
the RAM speed at, Chameleon is only reading the SPD.

I am using OCZ PC3-12800 RAM, part number OCZ3G1600LV12GK. In the
SPD the RAM speed is identified as 1066 MHz DDR3 and I have to
manually configure it in BIOS to run at 1600 by either changing the
System Memory Multiplier or the BCLK.

This issue does not appear on P55 systems with the same type of RAM
and speed adjustments of changing System Memory Multiplier or the
BCLK.

What information is needed to get this fixed?

This can be closed now, as it was identical to Issue 76 which has
been fixed.
