Issue 278: Hibernation for Mountain Lion 10.8

Reported by Alex Auditore, Aug 9, 2012

Can anyone make latest chameleon with hibernation support (suspend
to disk) with patch from Vladimir Zidar? like this:
http://www.osx86.net/view/2254-chame..._for_lion.html
Or give me at least the source code Chameleon 2.1 1793(for lion) and
20xx(for mountain lion). Although I am not programmer and never done
it. But I'll try invent something.

Bootloader Chameleon 2.1 1793 do not load the system. (immediately
goes to restart )

Or maybe the bootloader Clover will help to solve this problem?

I use hibernatemode 29.

I really appreciate your help Fabio!

I test your boot file without success, chameleon prints
"Resuming from Encrypted image is unsupported.
Uncheck "Use secure virtual memory" in
"Security" pane on system preferences.
Press any key to proceed with normal boot."

my sysctl vm.swapusagevm status:
swapusage: total = 64.00M used = 0.00M free = 64.00M

So my swap isnt encrypted. (I disabled via terminal with sudo
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.virtualMemory
DisableEncryptedSwap -boolean yes )

I want to solve the hibernation problem too. If somebody have any
idea, I can help to test.

Cheers!

I have the same problem on 10.8.2.
http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/issues/attachm
ent/281/i386-2045.zip

"Resuming from Encrypted image is unsupported.
Uncheck "Use secure virtual memory" in
"Security" pane on system preferences.
Press any key to proceed with normal boot."

$ su

$ sysctl vm.swapusage
total = 64.00M  used = 0.00M  free = 64.00M  (encrypted)

$ defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.virtualMemory
DisableEncryptedSwap -boolean yes

$ sysctl vm.swapusage
total = 64.00M  used = 0.00M  free = 64.00M

$ rm /var/vm/sleepimage

Reboot.
But downloading all the same issues:
"Resuming from Encrypted image is unsupported.
Uncheck "Use secure virtual memory" in
"Security" pane on system preferences.
Press any key to proceed with normal boot."
