Issue 333: Asus G75VX RAM detection

Reported by Lord Pirate, Mar 11, 2013

It has been already told :-)

Asus memory is correctly detected by Chameleon after boot menu
selection, on the about Mac Dialog Box but wrongly reported within
Activity Monitor (OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2) and on initial menu
startup.

A 32 Gb RAM Asus laptop reports only 2.25 Go (the memory seen just
after chameleon build date in bdmesg and at Chameleon boot menu) !
poor of me...

Would like to know if it comes from Chameleon or something wrong
with hackintosh post installation.

Another point is that video memory is also badly reported (i've got
a 3Go RAM DDR5 on video card) so 3221225472 not 2101346304 (2Gb
minus 44 Mb ? intel hd video ram ? since intel is disabled in bios i
don't know)

Also, seems nvidia.c missing this graphics card :
{ 0x10DE11A1,	xxxxxxx,	"GeForce GTX 670MX" },
...

Any help will be greatly appreciate from Asus laptop communities and
me

Last question : Is Chameleon BootLoader still in a development
status ?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Im having similar problem with my ASUS K55VD. 8GB RAM and only 3.2
detected. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Comment 2 by Wang Xi, Apr 30, 2013

please refer to issue 339

I think this is a bug existing in all the version.

Xi
