Hi Victor... I'll add your device to the booter, but i also need the subsys id; can you post that, please?! The allocation error will most likely be gone after adding the device. This device is present on both AtiRadeonX3000 and ATI5000Controller... lucky guy :) This doesn't mean you will not have other problems like LVDS stuff, common on laptops. Display vendor is not important.

From where do i take the subsys id? Thanks. What about the second problem-the blank screen?
Comment 3 by Cosmosis Jones, Jun 20, 2011
lspci. lspci -vvnn blank screen means you have a bad configuration profile, not just a "framebuffer" thing..

Victor, one thing at a time! On windows, go to device manager, right click on the graphics card, chose "Properties", go to "Details" pane, click on the "Properties" drop down, chose "Hardware Ids" and there you have it. Post also "Device description" from the same place.

LoL... Victor, now you exaggerated a bit on the info :D But that's ok; this bit Display Video Adapter AMD Radeon HD 6570M/5700 Series (1024 MB) Video Adapter AMD Radeon HD 6570M/5700 Series (1024 MB) 3D Accelerator ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 (Madison) in particular is most useful. I'm going to add the stuff to the booter; i'll post here with instructions to get it, when ready. p.s.: You must be careful with what you post on the web, specially with the Mac Address.

Comment 13 by Azimutz, Jun 20, 2011
yeah, that's the problem... i can't edit them either. This is an issue tracker, don't know if that's even possible; maybe one of the administrators can?! If i could i would have done it already :)

Victor, get the test booter from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?488a9kvqqgu9k It's in the "Test builds" folder; the archive contains only the boot file. If you need any of the other, check the "Latest trunk" folder. Good luck ;)

Hi Victor... sorry for the delay. You'll have to wait a bit longer; i need to clear some stuff about the framebuffer (fb). I don't know what fb should i set to your card?? Meanwhile, try to set a fb your self with AtiConfig=<fb>; replace <fb> by a fb. Check the list of fb's here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231768
Comment 17 by Azimutz, Jun 21, 2011
Victor, try one of these: Hoolock, Langur, Orangutan or Zonalis ;) Going to try narrow it down a bit more...

Comment 19 by Azimutz, Jun 22, 2011
You don't understand this ???... "Meanwhile, try to set a fb your self with AtiConfig=<fb>; replace <fb> by a fb. Check the list of fb's here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231768" ... man, just type at the Chameleon boot prompt e.g. AtiConfig=Hoolock and press Enter/Return to boot the system. And please use the boot HELP. Try "Galago" fb too. I need to know if you can boot using AtiConfig=whatever. Read below; if that topic is still not open when you have an answer, post here. -----------------------//------------------------ Ok, it's time to close these issues. I'm going to give some "limited" support and also accept "limited" feedback on this topic while i'm working in on the GraphicsEnabler (GE) modules and merging the old "legacy support" to the recently reworked GE code. The meaning of "limited" will be explained there. Thanks to all for posting your issues :)

ATI/AMD Chameleon Support Topic: http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,1959.0.html Topics 88 --> 91 being considered fixed (dev id/subsys id added). Anyway, reopen if really necessary, e.g. the issue of the topic still persists.
